YŌKAI YASHIKI
Set in Japan in the year 1999 with Tokyo's Metropolitan Kokusai High School, commonly known as , 'Kokusai Koko' located in Komaba of the Meguro Ward; our story starts at the brim of Summer vacation with said Class going missing. A Class of students that scored the region's highest testing scores on their end of the year Final Exams were awarded a fully paid, nice, relaxing, and historically rich vacation to the infamous Hotsprings Resort of the Northern region of Japan, Hokkaido Springs. Owned by Tokyo's infamous millionaire, high roller, and multi-housing district manager Mr. Kurokawa Hirobumi; not much is known of Hokkaido Springs from locals about Tokyo other than word of mouth speaking of Curses dating back to the Heian era rumoring, 'hauntings' and ghost sightings seen about the Hokkaido region itself... Yet, this rumor doesn't seem to hold true from Tokyo local residents who have claimed to have visited the resort itself upon relaunching with new ownership in 1982. Despite the rumored hauntings about the region itself, Kokusai High's administrative staff still aimed to reward their Class of best scoring students the best times of their lives by accompanying and watching over the students with a volunteering Teacher to the resort itself. With the missing students excited for the trip to find, 'peace with their spirit' as the Newspaper advertisements say... They would find something else /unexpected/ in their stead.
With news getting out about the missing children Worldwide, News Reporter Stations, Police, thrill seekers, and all other form of third party, foreign Country media respond to Hokkaido Springs now deemed, 'Yokai Yashiki' for the first scoop... Do you dare step foot to follow the story? What will you find within the halls? Only time shall tell as the story gets deeper with a bus ride up to Hokkaido Springs!

• Human Players: Unlucky you are to have befallen to such fate with coming here... Whatever prompted your character to walk through Yokai Yashiki's front door, you will find yourself locked and trapped inside forever more! Use your wits to survive or die trying!
• Yokai Players: A pity to have died on these haunted grounds... With your undeath, you have become an occupant of Yokai Yashiki, trapped for all eternity. As a Japanese Demon / Ghost, depending on your character's Ghost-type, you will have the time of your life befriending or haunting the oncoming living beings.
✰ This theme takes place in Japan in they year 1999 with native Japanese characters. Please be aware if your character is a foreigner, the characters in the story will be speaking in their native language of Japanese IC, the theme will also contain many cultural references. Please use Wikipedia or the Yokai website listed below to your advantage while running your stories for the best experience!
✰ Why do Yokai even /exist/ in this Story? Known only to paranormal enthusiasts and religious folk... With the power of the Moon above Hokkaido Springs (being as it's closest to the Underworld), the Moon acts as a passage way between the, 'Otherworld' or in other words, 'World of the Dead'. With the connection made strong between the two... Atop of past rituals held at the resort itself, Yokai have been forced to live and lay trapped for the past hundreds of years.
• HUMAN: The poor unfortunate souls to have found their way to their unknowingly worst nightmares... Traveling from all corners of the World to visit Japan's most famous haunted tourist spot, 'Yokai Yashiki' by the sheer thrill or curiosity... One common thing they all hold in common is hope of finding real evidence of Ghosts and other Demons that are rumored to be trapped and living inside. Will you survive?
• YOKAI: Strange, supernatural creatures and phenomena from Japanese folklore! Trapped within the walls of Yokai Yashiki forevermore, these Ghosts and Demons oftenly pray on haunting Human tourists who dare step foot in their home. Yet... There are some who take pity on those poor, unfortunate souls of the living and wish to help them on their journey to surviving within their forced home
